Gambling companies use sophisticated algorithms and 21st-century technology to analyze betting patterns and ensure the company wins. They categorize customers based on profitability, treating those who lose large sums as VIPs, while labeling winning customers as 'problem' customers. The algorithms are designed to turn off winners and encourage losers to continue betting, increasing their losses.

Gambling companies don't care about us?  Oh no!  You learn something new every day.

Banning people who win from betting sites should be prohibited by law.

As someone who has worked as a bouncer in most casinos for 15 years now, all he is saying is completely true. I remember the manager would tell us to throw a customer outside calling them problematic customers after the poor customers winning big sums of money. And all the wining records would be deleted that very day. We have a saying in the casino that goes “The house always wins”

This guy explained casinos sooo good. one of my good friends from college was a “advantage player” he counted cards, and almost never walked out of the casino in the negative..because of this he almost never got vip treatment and nothing was on the house. He spent thousands on hotels, and dinners just to come back to gamble..casinos that he made really good money at he was sometimes not able or welcome to gamble in those casinos again due to accusations of cheating

I've worked for a global online gambling company for 5 years and everything this guy is saying is 100% accurate, I have heard and seen it all happen first hand. The VIP customers are amongst the wildest stories I have heard.

I remember the company I worked for had strict rules for customers who were known big winners. They'd be given different odds and reduced bets. They tell you in training that this is to deal with fraud. But we knew it was because the house hates to lose.

Former casino tables games dealer. Everything he says is true. Upper management never wanted people to win big , they do anything to get people back in the door and inevitably lose their money again. I was also a former gambling addict so I understand there are millions of people out there like this. Upper management and corporate never have to deal face to face with angry addict who can’t pay his rent because his addiction has overcame his life. We as dealers got the brunt of it, and I know as a former addict how frustrating it is , you sell things , you steal , you borrow money that you can’t afford to pay back. It’s sickening.

Would love to have heard the tactics used against winners and losers. The guy didn’t really give us any information that was new. Everyone knows they elicit gambling on losers and try and reduce winners edges. It’s just the how that would give this an “informer” perspective.

I am banned from two casinos in Atlantic City, NJ for winning at blackjack.  I didn't win a lot.  In each case it was maybe $2-3,000 that I was up before they made me leave.  Both times they came to me and asked me to leave and told me that I was banned from coming back because they thought I was counting cards, which is not even cheating and it's not what I was doing.  All I was doing was doubling my loss.  If I lost $10 I'd bet $20 and so on.  It is not a great strategy and is actually statistically a bad one but it worked for me.

I work in a casino and witness some very greasy behavior.  I still find it humorous how some people complain the machine took their money too fast after they set up their maximum bets.
