Eric Morawa and Jeremy Lewis cheated Las Vegas casinos by counterfeiting casino chips. They started by modifying low denomination chips into high denomination ones, essentially turning $1 chips into $100 chips. They did this by removing the inlay from the center of the chip, repainting it, and creating a phony $100 graphic inlay to insert into the chip. They also added a security feature that would glow under a black light to make the chips appear authentic. This scam allowed them to profit significantly by cashing in the counterfeit chips.

The lady that ratted them out would have been dead if it was someone else.

The thing that always baffles me about this is they made all this money and never once thought to use the cash to move their operation out of their garage. Every time they get caught all the evidence is just in their main resident lmao

I can't believe that the counterfeiters didn't threaten the girl or shoot her while paying her off. I guess she just knew that the guy was too nice for that.

"Morikawa wanted not to make his hand dirty" vs. "Invite your accomplice to your house for a training, keeping the training materials in your garage"... well done!

Crime is always a catch22. It was near impissible for him to do it alone but the moment he brought another person in it's almost certain he'd get caught
