Yes, it is generally better to play higher denomination slot machines because they tend to have better payouts compared to lower denomination games. While you should always play within your budget, playing at the highest denomination possible within your budget can improve your chances at a payout.

Hehe...  I was sitting watching this waiting for you to perpetuate some myth, but nope.  Good job!  The only one that I disagree with is the one about playing the highest denomination.  I would edit that to say you should play the highest denomination that you can MAX  BET within your budget.  A lot of machines open up more combinations with more coin in at that denom.  Sure, the payouts might be lower - that's a MIGHT - but your chances to have longer play to hit them might give you the chance for a jackpot.  (Sometimes with games with progressives, the high denoms might have been won recently, leaving the lower denoms higher at that time.)

Honestly, I believe if you are new to slots you should watch slot play on line.  Learn how the machines tick.  Just don't fall for any of that nonsense about changing denoms to "trigger" the jackpots, or chasing full pot graphics.  Just remember that the front of the machine is marketing.  It's there to entice you, not give you information on how to win.

When you play a machine-like wheel of fortune; does the actual wheel spin (not the reels but the wheel up top) work off a random number generator as well?
