I'm curious if bonus rounds on slot machines are predetermined or if they're truly random?

It depends on the type of bonus round. For 'pick a bonus' rounds, where you choose symbols to reveal prizes, the outcome is often predetermined. The RNG selects a result from a set range, which is then presented to you as a choice. However, if the game reveals where all possible outcomes were after you pick, then it's not predetermined. On the other hand, free spins rounds are not predetermined and each spin within the bonus is a separate random event, just like regular spins.

You re-enforced what I already knew about slots. The one point I learned was that I had some control over the ones that showed where everything was in the picking. Great video to all the misinformation out there.

Absolute TOP TIER video!!  A lot of people need to see this.  All those people who believe players cards, stopping the reels, cashing out and putting their tickets back in, tapping the screen, etc, actually changes their luck- need to see this!!

As a regular slot player for the past 12 years, I actually knew all of this, except for one thing that you finally cleared up for me.  Which was, if the outcome of free games is predetermined.  It’s so interesting to finally know it’s not.  I never knew if pushing the button during count ups and coin shows during free games (to speed it up) had any effect on the outcome of the free games or if the outcome would be the same either way.  Now I know, if I push the button during free games, it will change the timing of the RNG.  Thank you so much!  I feel like you’ve cleared up a long mystery of mine, and it feels so freeing

Here 8:38 in there uk they have random slot machines and compensated slot machines. Random is like you said, but compensated slot machines the previous play effects the future outcome.
