Some players believe that you can predict when a slot machine will hit based on visual indicators like how 'full' it appears. Is there any truth to this?

No, you cannot predict when a slot machine will hit based on how 'full' it appears or any other visual indicator. Slot machines use random number generators to determine the outcome of each spin, which ensures that each spin is independent and random. The visual appearance of the machine does not affect the game's randomness or the odds of hitting a winning combination.

All I know is I had ten dollars in the one that was empty and on my first spin I got the double up feature playing $1.76, and ended the feature with $11,300.00

I’ve been absolutely drained by one of these before. I had the entire screen filled up without a bonus for a good 100 spins. My fiancé kept getting the bonus without any lit. Learned a lesson on visuals that day

It doesn't matter. Just this last week, I went to the casino and played a machine in a row of 4. There were 2 machines that were free. I chose the one with the almost full of coin tree. There were hardly any coins on the tree on the other machine. I played for about 10-15 minutes, then a lady came and sat at the machine with the empty tree. Two pushes of the button, and she gets the bonus where you have a chance at the progressive. She gets a miinor. Not even 5 minutes later she hits it again, another few minutes, she hits it again with a major and then again. I, on the other hand, don't hit that bonus until about 20 minutes after her lucky run.

My wife just hit her first ever jackpot on this machine 2 hours ago! $1300 on a $0.88 bet! We know it doesn't make a difference if the machine is already lit up but it makes it more fun for us to feel like we have an "advantage"

Best way to know if you’re going to win (or at least get your money back) is to check that “must hit by” number.  Jackpots start getting taxed by anything over $1200. The closer that number (must win by) is to $1200 the higher chance you have of the best RNG on any machine. The lower the number, and you may as well be using your money for something else because it’ll eat it. Doesn’t matter if it looks like it’s about to hit or bonus or not. A technician has to reset the machine. To view the must win by # it’s usually found in the info or help menu

Several months ago,on YouTube,I watched a great vid by a guy who builds and obviously repairs slots. He answered all the common questions about these machines(never knew they are ALWAYS making calculations whether in use or not). He dispelled a myth I used to believe, that of walking away and then having someone win right after, taking ''my'' jackpot. Not so. All random.all timing, all luck. You can't tell when a slot is going to pay.

The pseudorandom number generator is seeded by the clock (a large number that starts with the date and ends with the millisecond).  There are no patterns to look for because that seed number has never been used before and will never be used again.  If you spin one millisecond earlier of later, the results will be completely different.

I got on this machine two days ago with the firecrackers not lit.  Like magic the ultra and double went all the way up on two rockets.   It's really the luck of the draw.

I played this at the Horseshoe and had all 3 loaded to the top for about 40 spins and didn’t hit squat!!
I’ll never play this game again

Watched a lady put in over 1k on this machine while fully lit up playing max 880 on 2 cents for $17.60 a spin, finally hit only green extra spins for $170, then she hit just green extra spins right after for $600, just because they're lit up doesn't mean they're ready to hit and just because they're not lit up doesn't mean its not ready to hit. These are tough machines but on the same machine I did hit a double major with extra spins on a $4.40 bet for over $1,400 hand pay

Not true. Sometimes they can be all the way to the bottom and shoot right back to the top. Usually of you see two lit up, you will win

I played this Yesterday the lit up one. The guy next to me got the bonus on 1st spin not lit up the whole thing lit at once

It depends on the machine, and the game. Some games have a progressive jackpot that build up as people play it. And when they are up to their limit they are ready to pay one, or all of them. One example is the game called Tawa, I play it at a local bar, and the Princess jackpot on a 40 cent bet is up to $145, and it has been at $145 for at least a month. That means it could hit at any time, because it is at the limit and not adding to the payout any more.

Another game is called quick pay jackpots, it has a yellow and a blue jackpot, when they are both over 10, one of both of them are usually ready to hit, usually just one of them. I was playing it the other day and the yellow bonus was on 17 and the blue was on 7, I got the 3 bonus boxes and hit the 17 spins, and it paid $150 on a 50 cent bet.

Most of the other games do not give you any clue when they are going to hit a bonus, a few others do, but not many. You just have to play the games to figure out if there is a way to tell when they are ready to hit or not. But in general, most games do not show you any clues as to when they are ready to hit a bonus or a jackpot.

I play this one a lot.. i have had completely empty ones pop right away and completely full ones that take more than $1000 to pop

I’ve jumped on this one all lit up and got the each bonus one at a time and then when no lights got all 3 together as a bonus so after clearing it….. doesn’t matter whether it’s lit up or not
